Microsoft Awards $10,000 to eMazzanti for Fashion Industry Entry in WPC Marketing Contest

Innovative IT consultant wins “Pitch Pit” marketing funds for campaign to upgrade businesses to Windows Server 2012 R2

Hoboken, New Jersey - (Vocus) August 15, 2014 – eMazzanti Technologies, a New York City area IT consultant and managed services provider was recently awarded $10,000 in a Microsoft-sponsored contest for creative and unique marketing campaigns to promote Microsoft products. eMazzanti received the maximum prize amount for their campaign to persuade fashion and design industry executives to upgrade or migrate to Windows Server 2012 R2.

With Windows Server 2003 end of support looming July 14, 2015, Microsoft is anxious to upgrade customers to the Windows Server 2012 R2 platform. By awarding market development funds (MDF), the “Pitch Pit” contest was billed as a fun way to get Microsoft partners to participate in the effort.

Microsoft judges reviewed all applications for clear goals, strong targeting, creative ideas, ability to execute and ROI. Microsoft partners who entered the contest could win up to $10,000 in MDF.

Twenty finalists were asked to deliver a Windows Server 2003 End-of-Support campaign on stage in the “Pitch Pit” at the Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) held July 13-17, 2014 in Washington, D.C.

Each finalist was invited individually into the “Pitch Pit” to pitch their campaign in the most interesting, entertaining and convincing way. The four Microsoft “Pit Bulls” looked for the same criteria as the selection judges.

eMazzanti was one of a select group of partners that received the $10,000 award. Their campaign targeting the fashion and design industry showed how business owners and designers could enhance security, improve productivity, and increase stability and scalability by upgrading their server platforms. Microsoft awarded a total of $141,000 in MDF for the Pitch Pit event.
