eMazzanti Technologies Advances Almi Dumi to Lead Dedicated Cyber Security Team

New eMazzanti CISO heads focused cyber security practice to thwart cyber-criminals and meet increased demand for cyber security services

Hoboken, NJ ­- (Cision) August 2, 2018 – eMazzanti Technologies, a New York City area IT consultant and managed services provider, today announced the creation of a dedicated IT security practice. In an internal reorganization, the company has assembled a highly skilled cyber security team of experienced professionals. The firm also promoted Almi Dumi to the position of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the cyber security practice and direct the team.

According to sources within the company, the creation of the now operational cyber security team and practice is a strategic move intended to meet increasing market demand for cyber security services.Furthermore, the change will enhance the level of IT security afforded the IT firm’s numerous U.S. and international clients.

Cyber Security Team a Logical Step

The organization of a discrete cyber security team at eMazzanti is a logical step in the evolution of eMazzanti’s IT services business. As cyber security threats continue to increase, and many cyber-criminals go largely unchecked, improving the company’s cyber security posture makes sense to company insiders and is welcome news to customers. In similar moves, the company has also recently stepped up strategic partnerships to acquire new and strengthen existing cyber security services.

In a brief interview, Mr. Dumi pointed out that, considering today’s cyber security landscape, a dedicated cyber security team with specialized skills is an excellent way to meet customers’ needs and exceed expectations. Moreover, he said that the team aims to keep clients “always up to date” with advanced security technology and controls. In addition, he plans to implement additional eMazzanti’s cyber security services such as: Dark Web and intellectual property (IP) protection, among others.

Almi Dumi Background

Almi Dumi has been with eMazzanti Technologies for 11 years, previously serving as Senior Network Architect and Team Lead. He currently holds numerous professional certifications, including ITIL IT Service Management, Qualys Guard Certified Specialist, PCI-QIR, WatchGuard Certified System Professional, Lean Six Sigma, Effective Leadership and several Microsoft Professional certifications.

Prior to joining eMazzanti, he studied at Drexel University and attended the DPT Business School. He currently serves as a volunteer for the Hoboken Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and is a firefighter for the Little Ferry Hook & Ladder Co. #1. In addition to his deep technical knowledge, he speaks Albanian, Greek, Italian and English fluently.
